Whether you are new to this remarkable and varied hobby, returning after a break or new to the area, welcome to Watton Radio Model Club. We aim to collectively provide the facilities, expertise and social atmosphere for all members to enjoy building, operating & flying a wide variety of model aircraft, helicopters & multi-rotors.

In the first instance, we recommend you contact a member of the committee and arrange to come and join us at the field, preferably on one of our Tuesday training nights when food & good company is always available along with the flying. If you are a current BMFA member with an A certificate & CAA registration then bring a model to fly.

If you are new to the hobby, less experienced or just rusty, then we can provide a training aircraft for a trial flight with an instructor using a buddy box dual control. A small donation of about £2.50 per flight will help to cover aircraft fuel & maintenance costs. Hopefully, after a couple of flights, you can judge if you wish to continue with us and join.

We do suggest that complete newcomers to the hobby come & visit us first before purchasing aircraft & equipment as we can help advise you with the best options for getting started. Occasionally other members may have suitable second hand aircraft & equipment for sale which would reduce initial costs as you get going.

We look forward to welcoming you at the field.
